Our History

One January night of 2018, we were asked for Larry, to start thinking of becoming a home inspector. Afterwards, we decided it would be best for Larry, to ride alongside him to learn all of the ropes, and make sure that would be something Larry would be interested in. Just after the first day he knew he would be interested. But wasn't looking at starting his own career yet. He continued riding and learning for 10 months before he started pursuing his license.

Trustworthy Home Inspections of NWF, a local, family-owned business, is passionate about the panhandle since the owner/inspector was born and raised here. Being from a small town in Holmes County, Ponce de Leon, Fl. to living in Chipley, Fl. since 2003. Having that small town boy at heart, who can take the stress of purchasing a home, with peace of mind, through our inspection services. Larry started his training in January of 2018, working alongside another inspector and good friend, Michael Tadlock. Then in 2019, began his official training. Larry is Certified by the American Home Inspectors Training Institute, known as AHIT. Larry is always learning by continuing education with INTERNACHI. He's a member of CPAR, so he's able to have supra E-Key access to help your agent in my inspection time. Larry Paulk, Inspector

Larry grew up, and graduated from Ponce de Leon, Fl. Not only did he go to school there, but his mom was a teacher there. He got married to his wife, Becky from Chipley, a year after he graduated. They didn't wait long before they started their family. They have been married for 20 years, and have two grown boys, and one teenager. Right after high school, he began at the vocational school to earn his small engine mechanic license. He soon had a job offer at Lanes Outdoor Equipment in Chipley. Later in life he worked as an electronic engineering technician at pemco world air services in Dothan, Al. A little while later he began working at West Point Home in Chipley, Fl. where he was head electronic technician. Then after several years went by God moved on him to help his in laws run their produce business. This was a total different type of job for Larry. But this is where he learned how to treat customers and run a successful business. It also was a place where he could be more involved in ministry at our church and eventually gave him the time he needed to start his home inspector training. Larry has always loved doing work like fixing what might be broken so home inspecting was a great field to be in. Larry, has a small town boy at heart that can take the stress of buying a home away and give you peace of mind.
