Saturday Adult Cosplay Contest

Our contest continues to improve each year because of the community feedback we get from you!

***No Age Requirement for Cosplay Contest on Saturday but we encourage first time younger cosplayers to enter on Sunday***

All cosplayers will have to preregister at the cosplay booth with our cosplay judges. They will take photos of you, with your permission, to use as a basis for selecting the winners of the contests. It is not required for you to bring any documentation about your cosplay build, but it is also not frowned upon if you wish for them to see how you created it.

The cosplay stage walk is open to EVERYONE but only those who register will be considered for prizes.

Group Cosplays can be considered for any of the prizes, but the prize will be shared by all participants of the group.

Presentations and skits are encouraged, but will have a strict 60 second time limit on the stage to present. You must have the skit registered at the merchandise booth at least 2 hours before the contest. We can provide up to 4 microphones. This goes for crafting and non crafting cosplayers. If you have accompanying sound you want played, please have a flash drive that can be plugged in, and have it to the sound manager at the main stage 2 hours before the contest begins.

Best in Show will receive VIP passes to Nococon 2026, 150 dollars grand prize, Promoted on our social media as the winner, and will be asked to JUDGE AT NOCOCON 2026!

Runner up will receive Weekend Passes to Nococon 2026, promoted on social media along with the Best in Show, and will be asked to step in as a guest judge should the Best in Show be unable to attend Nococon 2026!

Prizes for the rest will be announced prior to the day, as we currently have several sponsors donating cosplay related materials, props, gift cards etc that will be given to the cosplayers who join us for this contest.

At the conclusion of the cosplay contest, our judges encourage all cosplayers to stick around and be a part of live feedback about the contest. They encourage all cosplayers to talk to the judges about ways they can improve their cosplay, and welcome any feedback about how the contest went this year.

Kids Cosplay Contest

No preregistration required. All kids are entered just by being present for the cosplay contest on Sunday. All kids will receive a prize just for entering the contest. There will be 5 additional awards given to kids for the following categories:

Scariest Cosplayer
Cutest Cosplayer
Funniest Cosplayer
Most Original Cosplayer
Best Stage Performer

Judges can choose to add additional prizes depending on entries received for the kids cosplay contest, and will be up to their discretion.
