Why Legacy?
If you already know me, you may know why I chose Legacy to be a part of the company name, but if you don’t, let me give you the reasoning. My start in the construction industry was by chance. I was attending college to obtain my Child Development degree and during that time, started a friendship with a student who soon became my co-worker, working for her father. I answered phones, sent emails, did filing, and all your typical secretarial work for his office. As time went on, and I learned more, my duties evolved. My employer was eager to share his skills and always focused on cultivating relationships with honesty being his focus. If you had told me a decade ago that I would be doing what I am doing now in this industry, I likely would have laughed. But, because of my employer (who has become family) and the time he poured into me over the past twenty years, I am who I am today. It is his legacy within the construction industry that has allowed me to start my own business; so that I can leave a positive legacy of my own every day and show my children what it means to live purposefully, pursue your passions, and be a good person.
